Tentative Lesson Plan for ALAT and LAT

Course Details

Classes start from 7pm. Please try to arrive early as the venue will be available from 6.30 pm.

1 ½ hr to 2 hr classes for each session(depending on the tutor and chapters for review).

The venue for the ALT classes will be at the Exploration Theatrette on Level 4 of Matrix Building, Biopolis

.The venue for LAT, will be at the Meeting Room 3 on Level 3, Matrix, Biopolis.

Classes are free for all current and paid SALAS members.

AALAS Test Registration

This is a call for members who wish to register for the AALAS tests through SALAS.

Venue for AALAS Test
Date - Saturday 21st November 2009
Time - 9:30AM (tests will begin promptly, so please plan to arrive by 9:00AM)
Location - Exploration Theatrette, Level 4, Matrix Building, Biopolis.

The fees are as follows for SALAS members:

Pen and Paper administrative fee - SGD 20 per candidate. Please make this cheque payable to "Singapore Association for Laboratory Animal Science" and post to Dr Leslie Retnam (for SALAS), Director (Veterinary Services), Biological Resource Centre, 20 Biopolis Way, #07-01, Singapore 138668. Please write your name on the back of the cheque. SALAS membership form is attached for non-members. Please join SALAS to take these AALAS tests.
AALAS test fees depend on which level you intend to take:
- Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) - USD 155
- Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) - USD 205
- Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) - USD 255
- Processing Fee (non AALAS members only) - USD 75

These AALAS test fees (and processing fee for non-AALAS members) are to be made payable to "AALAS" either by cheque, money order or credit card as described in the "AALAS Technician Application Form". Download Form Here >>

Please complete the AALAS Technician Application Form - one each per candidate. For Question 19 on the form, tick the box "Pen and Paper" and state "21 Nov 2009, Singapore) for the date and location of the test.

Please remember to fill page 4 "Verification of Work Experience" and have your Supervisor sign at the end of that page.

All AALAS Technician Application Forms must reach me by email, fax (6478-9413) or mail by Friday 2nd October.
