AALAS Tests
Date: 27th November 2010
Time: 9:30AM (tests will begin promptly, so please plan to arrive by 9:00AM)

Registrations for these tests are now open. The closing date is Monday 27th Sept 2010.
Please complete the AALAS Technician Application Form - one each per candidate.

For Question 19 on the form, tick the box "Pen and Paper" and state ("27 November 2010, Singapore”) for the date and location of the test.
Please remember to fill page 4 "Verification of Work Experience" and have your Supervisor sign at the end of that page.
All AALAS Technician Application Forms must reach the secretary @ lacnar@nus.edu.sg or ordinary mail by Monday 27th Sept 2010.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Fees payable:
- Administrative fee - SGD 20 per candidate. Please make this cheque payable to "Singapore Association for Laboratory Animal Science" and post to Nurhafizah (for SALAS), Comparative Medicine (CARE), National University of Singapore, 7 Perahu Road, Agri-Bio Park, Lim Chu Kang, Singapore 718836. Please write your name on the back of the cheque. Only current SALAS members will be entertained. Non members, please join SALAS to take these tests.
- AALAS test fees:
- Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician (ALAT) - USD 155
- Laboratory Animal Technician (LAT) - USD 205
- Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) - USD 255
- Processing Fee (non AALAS members only) - USD 75
These AALAS test fees (and processing fee for non-AALAS members) are to be made payable to "AALAS" either by cheque, money order or credit card as described in the "AALAS Technician Application Form".
The Animal Resources Examination

This is one of four examinations required for the CMAR ( Certified Manager Animal Resources ) certification program. The other three examinations (certified manager) are offered by ICPM and are available online only.
The Animal Resources Exam (150 questions) tests knowledge and competence in the following areas:
- Optimizing Facility Resources
- Managing Fiscal Resources
- Achieving Regulatory Compliance
- Managing Animal Welfare
- Assuring Public Trust
