SALAS Poster Competition 2009

The Singapore Association for Laboratory Animal Science (SALAS) is committed to promoting and recognizing continuing innovation in Laboratory Animal Science and Technology. This year, as part of our Annual Regional Conference on the 3rd-4th Dec, SALAS is hosting a Poster Competition: “Innovations in Laboratory Animal Science, 2009”. We would like to invite all academic, research, and commercial institutions that are involved in laboratory animal work to submit their leading innovations in the areas of laboratory animal management, care, technical skills and related topics. The top 3 innovative entries will be presented by SALAS with a certificate of “Star Innovator in Laboratory Animal Science Award 2009”. SALAS encourages all relevant institutes to participate in this competitive event.

Closing Date

The softcopy for all entries must be submitted to SALAS at secretary@salas.sg  by 20th Nov  09 

Awards

1. A Certificate “Star Innovator in Laboratory Animal Science 2009” will be awarded by SALAS to the top 3 entries at the SALAS Annual Regional Conference in December 2009
2. All winning entries will be displayed for the whole duration of the SALAS Annual Conference on the 3rd-4th December 2009.

Guidelines for poster competition

1. Poster size must be A1 stating the following sections with the required font size:
   • Poster Title (Arial 88)
   • Background/Introduction(Arial 55)
     80-100 words (Arial 32)
   • Objectives (Arial 55)
     Words in Arial 32
   • Materials & Methods (Arial 55)
     Words in Arial 32
   • Advantages/Benefits/Key Features(Arial 55)
     Words in Arial 32
   • Conclusions/Findings (Arial 55)
     Words in Arial 32
   • Tables and Figure titles in Arial 10
     
2. Entries will be assessed based on originality of idea, creativity, practicality and impact that it would make on the area of laboratory animal science research and development.
